Board & Train

It is not uncommon for your dog to need a customized approach to training. Think of board and train programs like sending your dog to a personalized summer camp! These programs are ideal for people who want professional training help but have difficulty finding the time for group classes or who wish to fine tune their dog’s skillset. I’ll implement the foundational skills and you’ll just need to maintain the skills at home. Every dog is treated like an individual in this personalized training program taking their preferences, skill level, and history into consideration.

A limited number of dogs are accepted into my program at one time which allows me ample opportunity to meet each dog’s needs. Each dog will have multiple training sessions covering a range of basic obedience commands, social and play opportunities throughout the day. This immersive training approach provides a controlled setting to learn and practice desired behaviours. As their basic skills improve we will move on to more distracting environments to bring these skills to mastery.

Upon completing the training program, families will receive guided support on implementing training protocols and maintaining skills at home.

Programs utilize the most up-to-date effective, humane, science-based training methodologies to see the best results. Basic commands include: sit, down, place, come, loose leash walking, stay, drop it and leave it. This program also covers confidence and relationship building.

Additional commands may include: door manners, crate manners, counter surfing, handling procedures (nail trimming etc), and increased distractions.

Packages include an in-home follow up lesson and unlimited email support.
